We believe it starts right at the front door, with a convenience shelf for residents to decorate with your own personal style. Reminiscent of the front door of the home they are about to leave. Upon entering the front hall you turn into a very pleasant large kitchen that offers room for a table and chairs for two. We have found, however, that residents have created a variety of uses for this area. Some set up a computer area while others have a portable panty and additional shelving here. The kitchen also has wonderful open space above the kitchen cabinets which creates a perfect spot for displaying a beloved collection. The extra tall height of the kitchen cabinets helps to ensure that there is plenty of room for storage. The opening from the kitchen through to the living area provides a bright and cherry atmosphere. The area designed for dining is definitely the most flexible space in the apartment. While our model apartment shows this area for formal dining, our residents use it for a variety of purposes. It is often set up as a study or computer area or can be incorporated into the living space to make a large living room. The versatility of this area allows our future residents to bring what is important to them in their current home to their new apartment home. Off of the living area is a French door to a large balcony or patio that allows residents to bring the outside in. It is a lovely space for afternoon tea or tending to brightly colored flowers, without the laborious task of a large garden. Just perfect!
