Our elected officers and council members are responsible to our residents and for carrying on the day-to-day operations of keeping Southgate Co-op affordable, clean and well-maintained. There are regular trips to Southland Mall, Meijer and Super K, as well as fun trips to apple orchards, Frankenmuth, restaurants, plays and other places of interest. We have beautifully landscaped grounds, a patio and spacious community room where members gather for bingo, cards, games and friendly conversation. “Since moving to the Southgate co-op, my life has been busy. If I’m not running in and out or up and down. I am much busier than ever. I know at least by sight at least three quarters of the people. I have some friends who we play cards with almost every evening. There have been craft classes, I don’t attend, but I enjoy having my friends tell of it. I don’t attend the craft class since they changed the evening and on Thursdays. I have a book study class. For me and my children it means safety, no actual fear of someone breaking in; regulations to be followed for your pets; grounds to walk around safely.
